Gleb Chuvpilo is a Founder and Managing Partner of Thundermark Capital, a Venture Capital fund headquartered in Puerto Rico, with presence in the Bay Area, NYC, Boston, and Miami. In AI, we are inspired by Cybernetics, a now forgotten science invented by Norbert Wiener at MIT in 1947. Cybernetics states that the role of machines is to amplify human intelligence, augment human decision-making and, thus, improve human productivity. We believe that Deep Learning, which has made huge progress in pattern recognition, is just scratching the surface of AI. We are focusing our investments on cybernetic technology, which falls into augmentation and automation categories: the former helps humans co-invent (“Intelligence Amplification” with AI); the latter helps automate “dirty, dangerous, and dull” jobs with robots.
